Les Choristes In Concert...

yesterday i brought 2 kids, Marc and Markus, to see the captioned concert...which was performed by Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc (a French choir of nearly 80 musically gifted children who have traveled extensively across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America).

after the 3 beautiful songs, a no. of people who were late to this concert were allowed to enter the hall... and this happened twice!! being a Hong Kong person, i felt so embarrassed... the conductor and the choir waited for them
for at least 5 min to settle down... this behavior was totally unacceptable.. not only insulted me, but the image of Hong Kong is also affected... i do think these people do not know how to respect the concert... even doubt if they respect people around them... on the other hand, the organiser, Queen Elizabeth Stadium should have allowed the 2nd group to enter during intermission... their arrangement was inappropriate as well...

anyway... i enjoyed the performance very much... i haven't been to this kind of concert for a real long time... the choir sang so well that made me relaxed much... what's more... we're very surprised that these French kids sang a song in Mandarin called "茉莉花" (just guess :P) as the first encore song! of course, all the audience gave them big applause...

i hope the choir would not be influenced by the ugly behavior of those late audience and would come again to let more Hong Kong people listen to their beautiful voice in the near future...
